Dr. Michael Ferber

Dr. Michael Ferber is a third-generation Cornell-trained veterinarian carrying on a family legacy that began in 1939, when his grandfather, Dr. Robert Ferber, opened one of northeastern Queens' first companion animal hospitals. After graduating from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Ferber joined the family practice at North Shore Animal Hospital in 1996, following in the footsteps of his grandfather and his father, Dr. Alan Ferber.

A Long Island native, Dr. Ferber returned to Nassau County with his wife to raise their daughters close to home and later founded the East Meadow Veterinary Center to serve his local community. He brings to every patient the same philosophy of compassionate, family-centered care passed down through three generations of Ferber veterinarians.
