Dr. Matthew Olcha

Dr. Matthew Olcha joined the East Meadow Veterinary Center team in Summer of 2020. Dr. Olcha studied Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University for his pre-veterinary education before enrolling in a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and PhD dual-degree program at Kansas State University. After earning his DVM in 2017, he stayed at K-State for an additional three years to finish his doctoral research project. He earned his PhD in Pathobiology in 2020, with his dissertation focusing on cellular entry mechanisms of viral infectious diseases.

Dr. Olcha has clinical interests in infectious disease, diagnostic ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery. He also enjoys dentistry, as dental disease is such a common issue encountered in dogs and cats.

When not at work, Dr. Olcha enjoys traveling, scuba diving, reading, gardening, and spending time with his wife and dogs.
